Harihar Nagar -3, to start this week

The shoot for the third part of the super hit movie ‘In Haihar Nagar’, will kick off by the end of this week. This sequel titled as ‘In Ghost House Inn’ will be scripted and directed by Lal who attained big success with the second part of the movie ‘2 Harihar Nagar’. This time the central four characters will move away from the Harihar Nagar street to Ooty, where they happens to spend some time in a haunted house. The movie to be laced with plenty of comedy, suspense and loads of horror, will also feature Nedumudi Venu, Kochu Preman, Harisree Ashokan, Mohini, Lena, Radhika, Reena Basheer and Kakka Ravi in other important roles.

The pooja ceremony of the movie was held at Cochin yesterday, which was attended by most of the technicians and lead actors including Mukesh, Jagadeesh, Siddique and Ashokan. Venu would wield the camera while V Sajan will handle the editing. Alex Paul would set to tune the lyrics by Bichu Thirumala.

‘In Ghost House Inn’ will be brought into theatres as a Vishu release by Lal release.

Kerala Cafe - A novel – ‘Kerala Café’


Kerala Cafe is an assortment of 10 different movies on 10 different short stories, directed by ten different Mollywood directors. An anthology movie project, initiated by producer- director Renjith, each of the movies will be around 10-12 minutes long. Inspired by the international films like Paris Je T'aime and Bollywood movies like Mumbai Cutting, and Dus Kahaniya ‘Kerala Café’ will be a novel experience for Malayalees who will be able to see almost all of their favourite actors except Mohanlal, in a single film playing different characters of the movie. ‘Kerala Café’ was recently premiered in the Middle East International Film Festival held at Abu Dhabi, where it received great applause.

Unlike the mentioned movies earlier, ‘Kerala Café’ will be held together by a common theme of journey and a railway restaurant in the name ‘Kerala Café’. Each story will be dealing with different facets of Kerala life. Directors who are a part of the project includes Lal Jose, B Unnikrishnan, Revathy, Shaji Kailas, Shyama Prasad, Padmakumar, Uday Ananthan, Anjali Menon and debutante Shankar Ramakrishnan.

These are the details of the ten shorts in the anthology films

1. Nostalgia

Director- M Padmakumar will have Dileep, Navya Nair and Babu Namboodhiri in his cast lines

2. Island Express

Debutante director Shankar Ramakrishnan's movie will have the biggest cast in this short's list with Prithviraj, Jayasurya, Rahman and Kani. This movie is cinematographed by S. Kumar.

3. Lalitham Hiranmayum

Director Shaji Kailas deals with a romantic story about a man caught in between two loving women in this short. Suresh Gopi and Jyothirmayee are in the cast of this short movie.

4. Mrithunjayam

Director- Uday Ananthan, Cast- Fahad Fazil, Thilakan, Reema Kalungal

5. Bridge

Director- Anwar Rashid, Cast- Salim Kumar, Kalpana, Santhadevi

6. Aviramam

Director- B.Unnikrishnan's movie will have Siddhique and Shwetha Menon playing the leads about a nuclear family getting affected by the recession.

7. Off Season

Director Shyama Prasad will attempt for a different comedy genre with this movie featuring Sooraj Venjaranmoodu and Vindhyan

8. Makal

Directed by Revathy, this short will deals with a plot of human trafficking. Scripted by Deedi Damodharan, the movie will feature Srinath, Sona Nair and Archana.

9. Happy Journey

IFFK award winning Director- Anjali Menon's, movie will feature Jagathy Sreekumar and Nitya Menon in a different story.

10. Puram Kazchakal

Directed by Lal Jose featuring Mammootty and Sreenivasan, this short is based on the novel by C V Sreeraman in the same title.

The film designed, promoted and produced by Renjith’s Capital Theatre will be distributed by a new company Backwater Media and Entertainments.

Mammootty for Volleyball

The only Megastar of Malayalam Mammootty, has been always instrumental in participating in every type of social service promotions that he thinks of utility for public. In the past he had been the ambassador for many projects like ‘Akshaya’.

The star, who is also a former volleyball player, is now going to endorse the game of Volleyball. He has agreed to be the brand ambassador of Kerala Volleyball League (KVL) that is planned to be held from February 20 to 28, next year. The actor is in great spirits to endorse the game in the state as he finds its more visually appealing and extremely poplar. He expects KVL to become the next big blockbuster of Kerala.

KVL planned in the same lines to IPL will have six franchised district teams participating in the round robin format. The bidding for the franchisee teams will take place, next month at Kochy.
