Thalaivan Irukkiran Replaces Marmayogi

It seem that Kamal Hassan, the legendary actor from South has almost come out of the much hyped Marmayogi.He is now focusing on an another film titled as Thalaivan Irukkiran (from a popular song of the late MGR).According to sources, Kamal will join hands with Mohanlal and Venkatesh for the first time in this film.Shreya and Trisha are the lead ladies and they were already booked for the shelved project of the actor, Marmayogi.Thalaivan Irukkiran the movie would be directed and enacted by Kamal Hassan himself and produced by Gemini Films. The new film is expected to go to the floors from January, 2009.

The film promises the original khiladi Akshay Kumar with a whole lot of daredevil stunts and action setpieces. Co-producers Warner Brothers will go big to give the film an international presence.

Minus:
Director Nikhil Advani’s last outing was the three-and-a-half hour sleepathon Salaam-e-Ishq. A large part of the film has been in the cans because chunks needed to be reshot. Action and comedy usually don’t mix well.

Deepika has a double role in the film.
